Graduated from the University of Moratuwa – Mechanical Engineer.
15 years in Hotel Engineering the last appointment was Chief Engineer for 10 [ten] 4 to 5 star Resort Hotels scope of my work included installation of water and wastewater treatment plants and water recycling for swimming pool in which took a great interest. From 1981 I worked for Lanka Hydro Systems Ltd. They were suppliers and installer of water and wastewater treatment plants as Director/ Engineer.
In 1990 I started my own Company Hydro Systems International. Initially I imported and installed water and wastewater treatment systems from Switzerland, UK, USA and India. Due to the depreciation of the LKR against foreign currency I started to develop my system and ended up developing the zero sludge sewage treatment plant which is a success.
I under went for “hands on” training in Switzerland, UK ,USA and Israel
I worked for the UN in water and sanitation project for 2 years. Now I am the specialist EU funded project in sanitation
I am a Listed in the Central Environmental Authority – Sri Lanka as a Specialist in water and wastewater air and sound Member IWA-UK
